Delta Air Lines Helping Travelers Meet COVID-19 Requirements

Delta Air Lines is committed to helping passengers meet the new requirements for negative COVID-19 testing through a number of innovative technology developments.
One of the options offered by the carrier is to deliver the coronavirus tests directly to the customer or to receive them on site. With the help of third-party testing providers, travelers can get the negative test they need to travel before going to the airport.
Delta passengers can also use the airline’s interactive Safe Travel Planning Tool, which lists COVID-19 testing requirements, quarantine restrictions, additional documentation and other information from local authorities.
When a negative test is required, the tool displays the accepted test types and provides a platform for travelers to download approved information to mobile devices via the Test Verified screen.
We create experiences that give customers flexibility and control, even as their needs change, says Bill Lentsch, Delta’s Director of Customer Experience. These new test options give each customer the information they need to choose the right test.
Travelers with questions can use Delta’s virtual assistant to contact a live representative for immediate assistance and to make changes to their travel plans. The airline plans to add additional home coronavirus testing capabilities in the coming weeks, as well as additional on-site testing capabilities.
Earlier this month, Delta announced it would continue to include middle seats and increase capacity on all flights departing before the 30th. Departure in April.
