2021 Travel Restrictions: How to Have a Safe, Socially Distant Spring Break Vacation

As the introduction of the vaccine progresses, interest in travel increases. Although the situation may be different in the summer, there will always be social distance in the spring.

This means that Spring Break may be a little different this year, but certainly a lot safer than last time.

Current trend

Weekend activities are your best bet, think beaches, national parks, hiking and spring skiing.

Travelling in a motorhome

Vans are riding a pandemic wave of popularity. There is nothing so liberating as being outside in nature with all the comforts of home.

There are several places where travelers can rent RVs for spring break, including RVShare and Outdoorsy.

Before you book your RV, make sure you have a campsite of your choice and a place to stay.

With the increasing popularity, campgrounds and RV parks are also experiencing an influx of visitors.

National Parks

There are so many national parks to choose from. Popular parks like the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone Bris and Zion will likely be crowded. So plan ahead and, if you want to avoid the crowds, try to book other weeks when schools are still open.

Spring is the perfect time of year for parks like Death Valley, where visitors can warm up in the desert air and enjoy the spectacular spring blooms of wildflowers.

Holiday homes

Self-service properties are among the safest ways to travel. Spring breakers can find a place they love in a location with lots of outdoor activities or book a home that has everything they need at their fingertips so they never have to leave.

Beach holidays

A trip to the sea is one of the easiest ways to escape the winter cold. Warm up in the sand or cool off in the water. Florida’s beaches are already filling up with spring breakers. Travelers should therefore look for other opportunities for socially relaxed fun in the sun.

Dude Ranch and Guest Ranches

There’s nothing more adventurous than exploring the Wild West on a ranch. Guests have countless opportunities to explore nature and play sports.

The Dude Ranchers Association provides travelers with information on planning and selecting the right ranch or ranch for every type of guest, from Colorado and Wyoming to ranches in the Pacific Northwest and California.

Spring skiing

The ski season is coming to an end, but there is still time to hit the slopes, especially to find some powder. Much of the west got a few inches of fresh snow, just in time for spring skiing. Ski resorts have spent a lot of time making sure guests are safe, and now that spring is here, travelers can take advantage of discounts and incentives for affordable vacations.

Don’t forget your PPE.

While vaccines are being deployed, it is important that travelers remain safe to continue to stop the spread of COVID-19 and prevent a fourth outbreak of the virus. Bring masks, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes to clean personal areas on airplanes, rental cars, public transportation, and so on.
